North Wales' pioneering LED lighting specialists, Visive, today announces that it has formed a joint venture with America's market leader in advanced solid state lighting systems, US LED, as it works to grow its sales four-fold to £8 million, over the next two years, by reaching more international markets.

Visive, which is based at Wrexham Industrial Estate in Wrexham, has joined forces with Houston based, US LED to market a new range of general lighting in the UK and Europe including LED-Grid, a solid state lighting luminaire that can be used in conventional suspended grid ceilings and Exa-Bay, a range of high and low bay lighting models benefiting from various light distributions for commercial, industrial and retail based applications. The deal will also see the two firms co-develop new products and work together on joint projects, particularly in the rail and retail sectors.

The two firms hope the tie-up will allow them to access work in the other's respective markets, with Visive predominantly based in UK and Europe, whilst US LED's key markets are in North America, Canada and South America.

John Scholey, Visive's sales development director, commented on the deal:

"The partnership is a logical step for both businesses and will broaden our footprint both domestically and internationally, thanks to an expanded product portfolio and new product development.

"We have been working with US LED for the last four years, but have now formalised an agreement to market in the UK and Europe, and we are actively looking for agents and potential wholesalers in Europe to ensure we reach our full potential in new markets."
