The project was designed and completed by Steon of Burnley.

Steon has been a dedicated family business since the 1970s, supplying and manufacturing superior quality lighting products across the UK.

Visive and L&L have worked in partnership on several projects over many years and continue to offer bespoke LED lighting and smart control solutions for several clients.

On this project, L&L were tasked by the client Liberty Living to design a robust solution that would withstand physical intervention. The client also wanted to increase the reliability of the incumbent fluorescent lighting, dramatically reduce energy consumption and cut maintenance costs.

To meet the lighting requirements L&L requested Visive to design an LED PCB and controls that would fit the brief.

The objective was achieved by adding the following features:

• the PCB was totally controllable;
• emergency functionality was added;
• quality reliable LED’s were used;
• the casing was manufactured out of a hard-wearing material
